OREGON TRAIN INTERPRETIVE CENTER HAS SPRING BREAK ACTIVITIES

Hells Canyon Scenic Byway > Events > OREGON TRAIN INTERPRETIVE CENTER HAS SPRING BREAK ACTIVITIES

Do you have spring break guests and don’t know how to keep them busy?  Slip a little bit of education in with the fun when they learn about Oregon’s fascinating history! The National Historic Oregon Trail Interpretive Center at Baker City, Oregon, offers daily activity stations, and the “Pack Your Wagon” interactive exhibit. “Campfire Conversations” program is this Wednesday March 28, 11:00-1:00. A historical re-enactor answers questions and shares information about Oregon pioneers, Baker Valley, and natural history of eastern Oregon. Great for out of town visitors: you won’t have to answer all those questions, our interpreters will do it for you! Link to oregontrail.blm.gov or trailtender.blogspot.com for more information. In April, the new living history presentation “Windows in Time” to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Homestead Act is offered April 12, 20, and 26 at 11:00 and 1:00.  Free Fee Day on April 1.
